Working with teenagers is truly my passion. This was solidified in 2013 while working as an intern at a middle school - but I think I always knew it deep down. Teens are in such a unique stage of their lives: developmentally, socially, logistically... this can look incredibly messy to the outsiders who have often forgotten what is like to be a teen. I am humbled by my role as bridge from their world to the “adult” world. My specialization and respect for teens allows me to bring a unique perspective to case consultation with folks who might not specialize in this population.

Austin Teen Therapy is a labor of love. When I started out in 2014, I was fortunate to have a supervisor that walked with me through creating a business that supported the clinical work I wanted to do. As my business grew, I sought out mentorship and consultation from respected members of our community to support and challenge me. I have researched, attended workshops, listened, asked questions, sent “how the F do I do this?!?” emails, read blogs/books/and articles, made tough decisions, built websites and created logos, outsourced work, failed, and succeeded.
